Areas of Focus

We offer generalist counselling for a wide range of presenting concerns. We support clients ages 12 and up. The following are specific areas that we really excel.

  • Whether your teen is eager to connect, or a little hesitant, we are committed to helping them and your family feel comfortable and excited about therapy.

We take a creative approach when working with teens, including making art and listening to music. When working with youth, we operate from a natural supports framework. This means that we help your teen identify who their supportive people are and cultivate meaningful relationships. We often invite parents and family members into sessions. We take a holistic approach to healing, meaning that we may offer parenting support, and help your teen to form healthy connections outside of therapy.

  • We pride ourselves on having a trauma informed approach to counselling. Every part of your treatment has been designed with your comfort and safety in mind. We stay up to date on trauma research and trainings. We offer trauma specific modalities, including Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) and Polyvagal Theory.

We understand that trauma healing can be an overwhelming experience. We will work together to take things at your own pace and ensure that you feel safe and supported.

  • At some point, we will all experience grief. Grief comes in many different forms and can show up in some unexpected ways. I’m here to sit with you in your very human experience of loss.

  • Our relationships with food and our bodies can be complicated. We take a Health at Every Size approach and will support you in healing your relationship with your body. It is my goal to help you come home to your body. To find a sense of peace within yourself. Let’s nurture the relationship you have with yourself and cultivate a practice of self-love and kindness.

  • Stress and anxiety can have a significant impact on your wellbeing. Learn tools to cope with stress and manage anxiety.

Through a combination of talk therapy and somatic processing, we can help you to manage the stress and tension being held in your body.

  • We support relationships and families as they navigate conflict and changes, including separation and divorce.

Relationships come in many different forms. Whether you’re in a romantic relationship, or family members looking to improve communication, we’re here to help.

We embrace diversity in relationships, including dynamics such as polyamory and ethical non-monogamy.

  • Utilizing a strengths based approach, we help you to create a life that aligns with your values and feels meaningful to you. We integrate self-compassion to cultivate a practice of self-kindness and reduce negative self-talk.
